Entrepreneur Series: Hooping with the Hula Rula!
Saturday Dec 10, 2016
Saturday Dec 10, 2016
In this special Entrepreneur Series episode of The Weekly YAP - Travis interviews his first teen entrepreneur. While doing a series of speaking events in St. Louis a few months ago Travis spoke to a group of teen entrepreneurs who are all part of the WIT program. WIT stands for Whatever It Takes and it is a year-long program that high school students apply to be a part of. In the program they are all developing an idea they would like to launch and grow. During my "Yes, And" session I was struck by the courage of one of the students, so it was no surprise to me when she asked to be interviewed as part of my podcast.
Kylee Tenny (@kyleetenny) is the Hula Rula. She started her business to teach kids how to hula hoop as a way to get them out of their shell and feel more comfortable in this fun and collaborative activity. She has performed in talent shows, charity events, and has made herself available for birthday parties.
